hardest conversation of my life

moments ago, i talked to my mom.. i told her that i was taking some time off from going to meetings and service.. the conversation went down hill from there.. as her usual she just dismissed my reasons as if they meant nothing.. i pointed to the child molestations as my main reason for leaving.. "you are being over-sensitive", "jehovah takes care of things in his own time", "rely on jehovah".

those were the catch phrases of the conversation.. a new one was: "what have you been reading?".

i have a hard time standing up to my mother.

Are the Creative days 7000 years long?

where does the idea that the creative days of the genesis account were 7,000 years long come from?.

genesis doesn't suggest that they were specific time periods, but shows that one "day" extended into others.

i feel that the clue is in the words; "and there was an evening and there was a morning, a first day.

The idea comes from Jewish scribes and The Gospel of Barnabas mentions it which is not an offical part of the bible....however the bible NEVER mentions how long a creative day is and since 1975 Witnesses have moved away from this stupid theory.

Knights Templar logos and "cross and crown' on old Watchtower covers!!!

the old watchtowers {see proclaimers book} had a middle-ages knight with a lance on it in one corner.

also the "cross and crown" was visable in the other corner.

if you research "cross and crown knights templar" on the net, you find that this was a masionic christian fraternity starting from the 1700's and very popular in charles russell's day.

Thanks Ninja. "Rising Sun" and "Millenial Dawn" are also Mason sybols that's why they later changed the volumes to "Study in the Scriptures" instead.

i found a pice of sublimnal art as a dubbie i'm shocked!

you guys this has really freaked me out so much tonight as i was looking though my revelation book climax at hand i was looking to see where we had left off and i usually do this by seeing where i have stopped highlighting in the book.. so i started at pg 156 & 157 of the book so there were a bunch of marks on those two pages their are pics nothing special there.. but on page 159 their is a pic of jesus in the heavens where he is extending his handout to get a piece of paper and that's where i notice on the hand that were the wrinkles are supposed to be there is a face like a fetusnow i mean anybody can tell you that is a face of a baby.

i don't know why a baby on jesus hand or what it suppose to mean.

i guess it really shows how the control tower (watchtower) make me a jw feel really shitty.

Lots of Witnesses put Jehovah first and don't work overtime or during meeting times...that's why thier 4 kids wear hand-me downs, their car is held together by rust and they don't have thier own home....but Jehovah will provide and,Armagedons coming so don't bother. Have you seen in the Live Forever book at the back a couple has a picture of a demonic looking goat's face on the table....this was the only picture that confused me. Otherwise there are men's faces on Mars and the Moon, you can see shapes in most pictures. Im not fully convinced. In 1982 a Watchtower cover shows what looks like a plane heading towards the Twin towers in N.Y but this is just a coincidence.

as i read it on your posts, it seems that at your assemblies there were candy machines which you were somehow forbiden to use.. am i right?.

it just seems ridiculous to me!

why, oh why could you not get a bit chocolate from a machine?

the society realized since there are few witnesses in tsunami ravaged countries this money would be wasted helping muslims.

Sitting in the hall I was shocked when I read this article. Kingdom Ministry 2005 Nov {after the Tsunami and New Orleans desaster Witnesses sent millions to help brothers in these areas marking their envelopes "For the Tsunami victims" etc. The society realized since there are few Witnesses in Tsunami ravaged countries this money would be wasted helping Muslims. So the KM published this:

"Last year many brothers donated toward those effected by the Tsunami desaster...HOWEVER, when donations are earmarked for certain desasters it is necassary in some countries to use these funds ONLY as specified. {So what} by the donor and within a certain period of time, whether the needs of the brothers have been cared for locally or not. It is recommended that donations for humanitarian and relief assistance be made TO THE WORLD WIDE WORK. {a.k.a Watchtower society directly} This fund is used for relief efforts {not often} as well as advancing the needs of the spiritual brothers. {or buying buildings in New York} ...it would be apriciated if such donations were made WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS as to where and how the donations are to be used."

The Watchtower wants full control of the donations so don't be a pain and donate to humanitarian Aid. They know how best to use your funds!
